Who is Kristine Arens?
For nearly twenty years Kristine Arens has been pioneering a trail in the male-dominated corporate IT world. Along the way she’s learned how to build a successful technology career. And she wants to share her knowledge, skills, and most of all, her passion, with you. Kristine knows firsthand the career and personal challenges that you are facing.
In 2011 she founded Empower U Coaching, a business and personal coaching business with a laser focus on empowering others to think big, to reach new career heights, to achieve professional success and find deep personal satisfaction.
Kristine Arens pushes boundaries. In sixth grade, she challenged herself by asking to be placed in Advanced Math. When the teacher told Kristine that she’d need to show that she belonged in that class, Kristine used her recess breaks to prove that she could qualify for the advanced class. Later Kristine attended a science & engineering college, where her perseverance (in classes with a 30-to-1 male/female ratio) led to a B.S. in Computer Science.
Kristine again pushed the boundaries in her professional career. Highlights include managing a customer portfolio that contained 20+ customers — located in multiple data centers with a network infrastructure that spanned the globe, providing on-going technical solutions and subject-matter expertise for a broad spectrum of challenging projects, and empowering her colleagues to expand their limits. And she’s been awarded the prestigious Pearson Leadership Award – three times.
