I am excited and proud to inform you that I have officially become a member of the Iowa City Area Chamber of Commerce.  Having the opportunity to learn more about my community and having my community learn more about me is really exciting.

So, why is community important?  It was interesting to realize some people feel community is a bad thing; that the term community forces the rejection of the idea of individualism.  But, I disagree.  I'm really hoping that the Chamber community will be a wonderful support mechanism for me and my new business.  It's one of those great tools for learning about others' products and services, as well as learning how others succeed. 

Here's to my new community!

The past two weeks have been busy ones.  I officially launched my new business to my friends and family.  I feel blessed to have so many people supporting me on my venture.  

Coaching has really been a life changer for me.  In the big picture, it's an adventure in personal discovery and reaching outside your boundaries to understand who you are and who you want to be.  But, sometimes coaching is just taking something that is bothering you and talking about it until you can find actions that help you get through the challenge.
